Old Town Temecula was glowing (literally) this past holiday season. It wasn’t just the lighted garland adorning the street poles, the sounds of laughter from ice skaters in the square, or even the pizzazz from the 1st Annual New Year’s Grape Drop. Old Town was glowing from the thousands of residents and visitors of all ages spending time in the merchant shops, dining in restaurants, and enjoying their community and the newly constructed Town Square. Old Town has never been more alive.
Since the late 1990’s Old Town Temecula has gone through a modern day renaissance resulting in the largest expansion of development in its history. Unprecedented levels of investment, both private and public, have transformed a popular antique district into a thriving downtown. Old Town Temecula today, despite the economic downturn, continues to see investment capital flowing in for new private development. This capital has been bolstered by the City’s development of its new Civic Center in Old Town. Amongst the dreary economic outlook for California, and the nation, Old Town Temecula has become an oasis of continued economic prosperity. The evolution of development within the district has established Old Town Temecula as the cultural and entertainment heart of the City.
